Open Courseware: Special Seminars on Bose-Einstein Condensates (Fall, 2009)


This lecture will introduce recent progresses in quantum gas experiments. Fundamental physics of ultracold atom system such as laser cooling and trapping techniques, and cold collisions will be presented. Various topics of current research will be discussed, including Bose-Einstein condensation, Spinor condensate, BCS-BEC crossover, Bose/Fermi-Hubbard physics in optical lattices, etc.
